This fine 19th Century Masonic Gilt Architectural Mirror is in good condition having a Classical Triangular Pediment with Ornate Crest and the words " Dieu et Mon Droit" meaning "God and my right" and the Masonic Square and Compass below, the single most recognised emblem of freemasonry symbolising virtue and moral conduct. Flanked by fluted columns topped with ornate Corinthian style Capitals and Spherical Finials mimicking the architectural pillars of a Masonic Lodge. The Bottom frieze features a small Gavel/mallet or emblem centrepiece which represents authority and leadership within the order. There is some wear to the gilt frame, and some foxing to the mirror plate, and a repair to the top crest, re glued but is solid, however it just oozes character and Interest!
