This Gorgeous 19th Century Rosewood Games/Work Table is in great condition, with a Revolving, String and Shell design Inlaid, Cove edged, Hinged top, that when rotated 90 degrees, folds out to reveal a beautiful Inlaid Playing surface comprising of Backgammon, Chess and Cribbage, with a shallow tray compartment beneath. There has been some minor veneer repairs to the Cribbage surface in the past, but these just add to the lovely history of the piece. A Single Inlaid Drawer of Dovetailed Construction, with a working Lock, to which there is a key, fitted with brass Handles and Escutcheon sits beneath the top, with a Slide out Box for Games pieces or Sewing Equipment etc beneath the Drawer with Original Lining, again adorned with String and Shell Design Inlay, all being supported by four square tapering legs with String Inlay, resting on Brass with Ceramic Castors and interlocked with a central Stretcher again with central Shell Design Inlay.
